    MODEL GIRLS

    “模特队”/Model Girls是由刘祥云、邱思遥、徐雁熙组成的青年艺术小组。该小组是以走秀式的剧场表演为形式,糅合声音、影像、行为、装置和可穿戴设备,集中关注服装制度、女性身份、围观政治等话题。

    Model Girls is a youth art group composed of Liu Xiangyun, Qiu Siyao, and Xu Yanxi. The group is a catwalk theater performance that combines sound, video, behavior, devices, and wearables to focus on topics such as the institution of clothing, female identity, and spectator politics.

    面对隐含的社会焦虑,她们时而破除伪装,号召起义;时而顺应收编,狂欢至死。要揭示不要解释,要事实不要适时。

    Faced with hidden social anxiety, they sometimes shed their pretense and called for an uprising. Sometimes they go along with it and party till they die. To reveal, not explain, facts, not timing.

    六场表演串联起来,实则是三位小组成员自身意愿发生转变的过程。

    议题 集中讨论不同“工种”的女性制服。三人分饰多角,身着制服,轮番走秀。

    Topic Focus on women's uniforms for different "jobs". The three people, dressed in uniforms, took turns on the catwalk.

    议题 延续第一场,选取三个不同身份的女性形象,借由可穿戴装置放大女性的身体语言,三位模特走下秀场,走近人群,走上神坛,最终完成了一场“造神”的仪式。

    Topic Continuation of the first scene, three female images of different identities were selected and their body language was amplified by wearable devices. The three models walked down the runway, approached the crowd, stepped onto the altar, and finally completed a "god making" ceremony.

    议题 通过重复练习面部表情、肢体语言等,退回到“模特练习生”的身份,接受专业模特标准的严苛训练,以求完美。

    Topic Revert to the status of a "model trainee" by practicing facial expressions, body language, etc., and undergo the rigorous training of professional modeling standards to achieve perfection.

    议题 本次表演集中关注商人、护士、家庭主妇三种形象的日常生活,以自言自语为主要表演手段,重新诠释日常物品和这三种女性形象的关联。

    Topic This performance focuses on the daily life of the three figures of a businessman, a nurse and a housewife, and uses self-talk as the main performance means to reinterpret the relationship between everyday objects and these three female images.

    议题 以时间病为切入点,将追赶、抵抗、错乱三种对于时间的“病症”做到极致,以期导向同一个问题:我们对于时间的态度,多大程度上决定着我们对于时间的把控能力?

    Topic Taking the disease of time as the starting point, the three "diseases" of chasing, resisting and deranging time will be taken to the extreme in order to lead to the same question: to what extent does our attitude towards time determine our ability to control time?

    议题 此次与THE HAPPENING的合作,旨在放大时装的造神机制,将趋同的幻想模型做到极致,同时讨论后人类语境下,观者与被观者之间界限模糊的问题。

    Topic This collaboration with THE HAPPENING is aiming to amplify the happening mechanism of fashion, make converging fantasy models to the extreme, and discuss the blurring of boundaries between the viewer and the beholder in a post-human context.
